Purpose
The purpose of the PAAA is to promote and preserve the safe and efficient operation of the Palo Alto Airport for all users. The Airport Association also acts as a watchdog group, making sure that money provided by the users is spent wisely.
PAAA enjoys its IRS tax exempt status because it is a chapter of the California Pilots’ Association. (Airport revenues are put in an Enterprise Fund, and all airport expenditures are from this fund.) To accomplish its goals, the Airport Association publishes a newsletter and produces, with the County, a noise abatement and airport information brochure.
Board Meetings
are held at the West Valley Flying Club at 12:00 noon on the first Tuesday of each month. Any member is welcome (and encouraged) to attend.
Meetings
The Association holds meetings with topics of interest to the membership, and we represent the aviation community with the City of Palo Alto and Santa Clara County on several committees and commissions. Association representatives attend Council and Board of Supervisor meetings as necessary in support of local aviation activities.
